Hail repair in Keller

WHAT HAPPENED OVER KELLER ON AUGUST 26.

On the evening of August 26, 2026, a severe storm tracked northwest to southeast from Wise County through Denton County and into northeast Tarrant County, producing damaging straight-line winds and hail up to 1.6 inches. The heaviest reports came from the Justin, Ponder, Northlake, Argyle, Roanoke, Haslet, Keller, and Southlake corridor, and Keller sat squarely inside it. Stones around an inch and a half fell across the city, which is the size range that dents sheet metal reliably without necessarily breaking glass — the kind of storm that leaves a car looking fine from ten feet away and covered in dents under a proper light.

The wind mattered as much as the stone size here. Straight-line winds drive hail in at an angle instead of straight down, so Keller vehicles are showing damage on hoods and roofs and also on the northwest-facing door skins, mirror caps, and quarter panels. If you only looked at your roof after the storm, walk the car again along the driver's side. Angled hail damage is the single most commonly missed part of a Tarrant County claim.

WHY THE KELLER CORRIDOR KEEPS GETTING HIT.

Keller sits along the US-377 spine between Fort Worth and the Haslet–Roanoke–Southlake line, in open country on the northwest side of the Metroplex. Storms that organize out over Wise and Denton counties reach this corridor while they are still at peak intensity, before the urban heat and drier low-level air further southeast start pulling them apart. Haslet, Keller, and Southlake regularly report the largest stone sizes on a given North Texas storm for exactly that reason, and August 26 followed the pattern.

The way Keller parks makes it worse. This is a city of large-lot homes on winding streets — Hidden Lakes, Marshall Ridge, the Estates of Oakmont, the Bluffs at Heritage — where three-vehicle households run two-car garages and everything else lives on the drive. Along Keller Smithfield Road and FM 1709 the retail and restaurant lots are entirely uncovered, and the storm arrived in the evening while those lots were full. Old Town Keller has street parking under mature trees, which sounds protective and mostly is not: leaves slow rain, not hail.

HOW WE HANDLE A KELLER REPAIR.

Our shop is at 4707 Lyndon B Johnson Fwy in Dallas, roughly 40 minutes from Keller running SH-114 to SH-170 or I-820 to US-377. You do not make that drive. We send a driver to your house off Bear Creek or your office, bring the vehicle back to a climate-controlled bay, and read every panel under PDR lighting before quoting anything. Hail on silver and white paint — which is most of what Keller drives — is genuinely invisible in a driveway.

The repair itself is done from behind the panel with rods, with the high spots tapped down from the front. No sanding, no filler, no repaint, so your factory finish and factory corrosion protection stay exactly as the plant applied them. Newer trucks and SUVs with aluminum hoods get a slower, heat-managed push. We work the claim directly with your carrier, the inspection costs nothing, and the repair is warrantied for as long as you own the vehicle.

We pick up throughout Keller: Old Town, Hidden Lakes, Marshall Ridge, Wildwood Estates, Shady Grove, the Bluffs at Heritage, and the neighborhoods on both sides of US-377.

Questions

KELLER HAIL REPAIR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED.

Was Keller hit in the August 26, 2026 storm?+

Yes. The storm on the evening of August 26, 2026 tracked northwest to southeast from Wise County through Denton County and into northeast Tarrant County with damaging straight-line winds and hail up to 1.6 inches, and Keller was in the heaviest-report corridor along with Justin, Ponder, Northlake, Argyle, Roanoke, Haslet, and Southlake.

How long does hail damage repair take?+

Most Keller vehicles are finished in 2 to 5 days once we have them in the shop, depending on dent count and severity. Lighter damage on one or two panels can be a same-day job. Paintless dent repair skips sanding, filler, and paint drying, so it is much faster than a body shop.

Can all hail damage be fixed with paintless dent repair?+

Most of it can. PDR works when the paint is intact and the metal has not been overly stretched. Inch-and-a-half stones driven in at an angle by straight-line wind can occasionally crack paint on an edge or leave a sharp crease, and those panels may need conventional repair. We inspect first and tell you honestly.

Will a hail claim raise my insurance rates?+

Hail is a comprehensive claim, not an at-fault claim, so in most cases it does not affect rates the way a collision would. Carriers writing in Tarrant County differ, so confirm the specifics with your insurer.

Do I need more than one estimate in Keller?+

Usually not. We inspect the vehicle at your Keller home or office, document every panel in full, and work directly with your insurance company through the claim.

Does paintless dent repair hurt my resale value?+

No — it protects it. Your original factory paint stays intact, so there is no repaint, no color mismatch, and no visible repair history on the panel.

How much does hail repair cost in Keller?+

It depends on dent count, dent size, and which panels took the hit. Every inspection is free and you get a clear number before any work starts.

What parts of Keller do you serve?+

All of Keller — Old Town, Hidden Lakes, Marshall Ridge, the Bluffs at Heritage, Estates of Oakmont, Bear Creek, Wildwood Estates, and Shady Grove — plus the US-377 and Keller Smithfield Road corridors.
